We refer below to the personal data that may be collected during a visit to our website. The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data are all data with which you can be personally identified. The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Avionic Design GmbH, Wragekamp 10, 22397 Hamburg, Germany.

2. Data collection and recording through the use of this website and the nature and purpose

Our IT systems automatically log data when the website is visited. The following information is collected as part of this, without any action on your part, and is stored until automatic erasure:

the IP address of the computer accessing the website, the date and time of access, the name and URL of the retrieved file, the website from which access is made (referrer URL), the browser used and, where relevant, your computer’s operating system as well as the name of your access provider.

We process the said data for the following purposes:

to ensure the straightforward establishment of a connection to the website and ease of use of our website, to evaluate system security and stability, and for other administrative purposes.

This website also uses Matomo as a tracking tool, with Matomo acting as a data processor for Avionic Design for the processing of your data. This is based on the Matomo Cloud Data Processing Agreement. Learn more at: https://matomo.org/gdpr-analytics/

The Matomo features are explained in the following sections.

Cookies are used to better understand how visitors utilise our website and to improve the website over time. The information is anonymous and complies with the GDPR.

Matomo registers and sets two types of cookies:

Persistent cookies show user behaviour over time. They are stored for up to two years.

Session cookies show user behaviour within a particular visit. They are deleted as soon as you close the tab or exit the browser.

The IP address of the website visit is tracked anonymously.

The legal basis for the data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1)(1) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is derived from the purposes for collecting data listed above. We never use the collected data to draw conclusions about you.

3. Data collection and recording through the use of the contact form

The personal data that you provide to us through the contact form are only used to answer your query or to make contact and for the related technical administration. The data are not shared with third parties.

You have the right to withdraw consent you have given at any time with future effect. We then erase your personal data without undue delay.

The legal basis for the data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1)(1) GDPR.

4. Rights

You have the right at all times to receive information, free of charge, regarding the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification, blocking and/or erasure of these data. For these and other data protection matters, please contact our Data Protection Officer (see above).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG.

5. Data privacy

We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with data protection laws and this Privacy Policy.

In all other respects, we use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction and unauthorised third-party access.

Please note that security gaps may arise when transmitting data over the Internet (e.g. email communication). It is not possible to completely protect data from third-party access.

6. Right to object

If your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1)(1) GDPR, you have the right pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR to object to personal data concerning you being processed on grounds relating to your particular situation.

7. Access, blocking, erasure

As permitted by law, you always have the right, free of charge, to access information about the stored personal data concerning you, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing. Where applicable, you also have the right to rectification, blocking and erasure of these data. For these and other matters relating to personal data, please do not hesitate to contact our Data Protection Officer (see above).

Unless otherwise indicated, your personal data are automatically erased after two years at the latest.

8. Cookies

Some of our web pages use “cookies”. Cookies help us make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer and stored by your browser.

The cookies that we use are what are known as “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to remember your browser the next time you visit.

If statutory or regulatory requirements change, we may be required to amend this Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy in place at any moment in time can always be accessed on our website and printed.
