Embedded systems

Backed by our expertise in the aviation industry, we are flying higher with our extremely reliable and high-quality technology solutions. More than 20 years of experience in the development of embedded systems means we’re best equipped for the future of robotics, medical facilities and smart cities.

A start–up mentality

Our journey began in 2001, in the cellar of our co–founder’s home. A true start–up with just three of us. And with Lufthansa Technik as our first major client, who’s now our parent company. And then starting up a close partnership with NVIDIA in 2011. All along the way, we have been a company that doesn’t shy away from being one of the first to try out new technologies.

Treading new paths

Our first project was to develop a passenger control unit for the aviation industry. Which was new territory back in 2002 – and a great success. But not the only one, of course. Our story has always been full of pioneering work and firsts:

  • 2004

Development for Siemens of a multimedia solution in hospitals in 2004

  • 2008

Streaming solutions for the distribution of TV and VoD channels in hospitals in 2008

  • 2010

DSL technology for networking hospitals together via telephone cabling in 2010

  • 2014

NVIDIA Tegra K1 module system (SOM), the first in the market in 2014

  • 2015

Lufthansa Technik AG becomes a shareholder of Avionic Design

  • 2016

Expansion of the machine park with an additional pick and place robot, selective soldering machine

  • 2018

Annual turnover exceeds 14 million euros

  • 2020

Partnership with NVIDIA is intensified, listed as a Solutions Integration Partner

  • 2020

Opening of a second production site in Hamburg specifically for Floor Path Marking Systems
